Shipwrecked VBS– Rescued by Jesus
Inviting all kids ages Pre-K 4 thru 5th Grade (fall of 2018) to sign-up now for this year’s Vacation Bible School – “Shipwrecked – Rescued by Jesus”. Shipwrecked VBS will anchor kids in the truth that Jesus carries them through life’s storms. Shipwrecked VBS is filled with incredible Bible-learning experiences kids see, hear, touch and even taste! Creative crafts, team-building games, co Bible songs, and tasty treats are a few of the activities that help faith flow into real life. Plus, we’ll help kids discover how to see evidence of God in everyday life – something we call God Sightings!
Registration forms are available outside Claire Bissell’s Office.
Summer Camps for Teens
Our summer camps for teens have become an annual tradition in the Diocese of Shreveport, and Fr. Jerry Daigle, Director of Vocations for the Diocese of Shreveport want to be sure the youth of our parish know all about them! Experience an unforgettable, life-changing camp packed with awesome activities and authentic Catholic spirituality! Two camps, one for girls and one for boys, are held at the rustic-but-comfortable King’s Camp, where a top-notch ropes course is flanked by the bayou and a picturesque pond. These days include competitive games, great food, Catholic devotions, and down time at the pool. Don’t miss these three days of faith filled fun! Priests, sisters and seminarians share their stories and wisdom. You’ll learn how to pray from the heart, serve god, and be open to His will for your life, whatever it may be. Terrific lineup of activities includes zip line, canoeing, climbing wall, fishing, swimming pool, capture the flag, basketball, disk golf, Catholic trivia, earth ball and more.
