Announcements - May 10, 2020

May 9, 2020

This coming Tuesday, May 12 we will have a virtual State of the Parish Prayer Service and Gathering at 6:00 PM on Zoom.  Everyone is invited to attend.  After the Liturgy of the Word and an update on our parish, we will break into small groups to catch up with each other and discuss questions pertaining to the readings. The link to the meeting is https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81978103674. The Zoom Meeting ID is 819 7810 3674.

Our virtual class on the Sacraments will resume this Wednesday at 6:30.  Everyone is invited, even if you have not been to previous classes.  This week we will discuss the Anointing of the Sick.   The link for this Zoom meeting is https://zoom.us/j/746336391.  The Zoom Meeting ID is 746336391.

We have a plan for resuming Masses whenever our Governor and Bishop allow.  The plan is still a work in progress as we await information from Governor Edwards.  At the appropriate time, information will be sent in an email to all parishioners and posted on our website.

During this time of not being able to come to Mass, and even once we are able to come back in a limited capacity, please remember to support our parish financially as you are able.  This pandemic has understandably had an impact on our collections, so I would like to remind you that your church still needs your support.  Collections that are mailed or brought to the church office are being deposited each week; we also have an online portal where you can make your contribution easily and securely.

Anyone who might be willing to participate in our Camera Ministry by operating the webcam for our livestreamed Masses is invited to volunteer. Please contact Lori Mainiero in the church office.  Click here to email her, or you may call or text her at 318-347-6359.

We will also begin implementing a cleaning ministry to assist in the preparation of our sanctuary between Masses once we are able to come back for public Masses.  Please contact Brandy in the church office  (ext. 110) if you are interested in serving your church in this ministry.
