Mike Kurley began ministering at SEAS in July 2020 as Director of Music Ministries. Before that Mike had music positions locally at Christ the King and St. Joseph’s, and has also served as a Director of Liturgy and Music at parishes in Boston and the Washington DC area.

Mike is originally from Alberta, Canada and began his career as an Elementary educator, working with children in grades 1-6. Although he grew up in a small rural village, he eventually worked as a Pastoral Associate for a large active suburban parish in Calgary. This led to a desire for graduate studies that resulted in moving to the US where Mike pursued studies in theology and ministry at Catholic Theological Union and Washington Theological Union. Once complete, he continued to serve the Church through the positions listed above.

Mike looks forward to ministering with all the wonderful skilled musicians at SEAS, and to meeting and continuing to recruit new music ministers.
