TEMPORARY CANCELLATIONS
Due to the severe winter weather in our area and the resulting road closures and dangerous driving conditions, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church is cancelling all activities for the next few days until the roads become safely driveable again.  The church office will remain closed through this time.

This means that all meetings, bible studies and group activities as well as both Masses scheduled for Ash Wednesday are cancelled.  We regret the necessity of this measure, but are pleased to offer an online alternative for you to spiritually enter into this Lenten season. Bishop Francis Malone will be livestreaming Mass tomorrow from the Cathedral of St. John Berchmans. You may view the Mass on Facebook or on the Cathedral's website.  The notice below is taken from the Cathedral's website:

On Ash Wednesday, join Bishop Malone at 12:10 with your family with you or anyone else:  and don’t just watch—but join in prayer—as he begins the penitential season of Lent in prayer for you and all of the Diocese of Shreveport.
It will be strange not to go to Mass on Ash Wednesday & to receive ashes. This year more than ever, recall that receiving ashes is an outward sign of an inner step, a movement of the heart towards our beloved Lord.  This year we must all concentrate much more on this inner, spiritual movement than on its outward manifestation in the imposition of ashes.  Make that inward move in your heart!

Our Pastor, Fr. Rothell Price, is on his way back from his vacation but his journey is delayed due to the weather road closures.  Please pray for his travels and safe return to us.

We will notify everyone via email and Facebook when our Masses and activities at SEAS have resumed. Until then, stay safe and stay warm.

Mass Procedures
by Rev. Rothell Price, Pastor

Reservations to attend Mass are no longer required at SEAS, as we are operating at 50% capacity.  Social distancing and masks are still required inside our buildings.

Seating in the Pews:  Please sit on the unribboned or blue portions of our pews.  The white ribbon on each pew marks a no sitting zone.

The Sign of Peace: Feel free to touch family members and bow reverently to all others without physical contact at the sign of peace.  I will respectfully bow to you from the altar.

Communion on the Tongue:  Our brothers and sisters receiving Holy Communion on the Tongue should come forward last in the Communion Procession to eliminate the need for multiple hand sanitizings during the Reception of Holy Communion.
